Darlington’s New MP

Peter Gibson, former Managing Director of Coles Solicitors, and local resident, was elected to Parliament as the first Conservative MP for Darlington since 1987. Peter had previously stood in the Redcar Constituency in 2017, which the Conservatives also took this December – for the very first time since the seat was created.

Peter was selected as the Conservative Candidate back in December 2018, and was a leading figure of the campaign in the local elections which saw the Conservatives take control of Darlington Borough Council in May 2019.
