Local School Library Transformed

With the help of local Independent Usborne Organizer, Jane Jackson, Carlton Miniott Primary Academy has begun to transform their library, with an incredible £360 of free books being given by Usborne Books at Home, a division of Usborne Publishing, and a total of £710 free books including cash donations from local businesses.

To achieve this, Jane held a Community Book Pledge with local businesses along with a Book Fair at school during Parents’ Evening. The event was a huge success and really showcased just what can be achieved when the local community comes together.

The school Headteacher, Mr Steve Crocker, said, “We feel it is really important for our children to develop the love of reading.
