How many “road closed” signs does the County Council have? They have shifted the ones from Blakey Lane to other sites in Thirsk in need of care and attention. Our ancient bridge, probably the most knocked-about listed building in these parts, is now protected by some extra signs warning the literate that it isn’t a good place for wide or heavy vehicles, and upgraded barriers.
